Sam began has been playing guitar for 16 years and counting. Along the way, he has picked up a myriad of different instruments to add to his repertoire. As a musician, Sam has played and performed in his band Thunder Fox along with other bands and a solo project to boot. With Thunder Fox, Sam has traveled and performed all over Australia and has toured internationally as well, gaining more and more insight into the wonderful world of music. Sam’s band has shared stages with the likes of Matt Corby, M.I.A., The Kooks, Ocean Alley, Lime Cordiale and Genesis Owusu to name but a few. Sam is also an accomplished music producer, working with multiple artists to write, record, mix and master some beautiful tracks.

When teaching guitar, Sam believes there is something to learn from just about any song that can be learned. Sam incorporates musical theory and technique into learning his student’s favourite songs! Same believes when the student is learning a song that is familiar and immersing themselves in music that they love, they can progress further and faster than ever whilst enjoying every moment. Sam is all about versatility and likes to adapt to a student’s learning style and goals in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

Sam loves to collect guitars and other musical instruments and his perfect day is spent in his home studio or on stage with his band mates.
